About Me
Okay, if this were a big long standing business this is where I'd tell you all about my company history and my customer testimonials. The truth is I'm just one guy with a lot of computer experience trying to help those in my community who don't. If you need technical assistance backed with a 10 page legal document with warranties and service agreements I'm not the guy for you. If you need a local, competent, trustworthy and friendly face to help solve a few technical issues that have either just popped up or have been on your mind and you don't want to pay the big bucks or spend hours online with tech support I'm your guy.

When I'm not working on computers I live with my amazing wife and two kids in Woodinville, WA. Being Scottish, I play the bagpipes of course and I also am a member of a local band -
Keith Highlanders Pipe BandI bicycle to work most days but when I'm not you'll find me on my BMW motorcycle.
My other main interest is woodworking
Technical Background
I graduated from the University of Glasgow, Scotland in 1992 with a BSc in Computer Science. After graduating I moved to London, UK and worked for a software house for almost 2 years developing software for a number of clients.
In 1995, I moved to Stamford, Connecticut where I contracted for Reuters developing in house trading software.
Around 1996 I moved to the Seattle area and started working as a tester in the Visual Basic group at Microsoft before becoming a developer for the same team.
So as you can see I've been working and developing software on PCs for many years now and along the way I encountered and solved an enormous amount of technical issues ranging from software issues, network issue and of course hardware issues.
Why am I doing this part time or even at all?
Well for starters I'm certainly not doing this for the money (although a little extra change never hurt). I have a full time job at Microsoft so I'm certainly not in need of any work.
I started out a few years ago simply helping friends and family with their computer woes. I'm lucky that in my line of work computers are much easier for me than people who simply use them to get their work done.
Today's computers are so far from being simple for most users it really is quite embarrassing. We've all seen the ads claiming the latest greatest software and computers will make your life easier but the simple truth is that for many, computers today are as simple as learning a new language.
Until we get to that mythical point in time where your computer knows what you "meant" to do I'm here to help. I'm here to help because it's easy and fun for me and it's really rewarding to see people's reactions once I fix their problem.
As I've stated before if I can't fix your problem there's no charge.
